Parent Involvement

Co-operative efforts include three clean-up parties, fundraising events and committee opportunities. Each family chooses a committee to work on in order to keep the school running smoothly.

The Parent Executive Board consists of the President, Vice President, Secretary, Fundraising Chair, Assistant Treasurer, Enrollment Chair and Co-op Schedulers. These positions are held by current parents with at least one year’s experience at Family Cooperative Preschool.

Parents are invited to attend bimonthly meetings to discuss the business of the school and develop open discussions on child development issues. Professionals are frequently invited to attend meetings as guest lecturers. These lectures and related resource materials provide perspective in child rearing.

Families make connections and build community as each year progresses. Bimonthly meetings, social events and co-oping encourage parents to meet each other and create relationships within our community.
